    I am 25 yrs old, done B.Tech in IT + M.B.A in Marketing and currently working as PO (Probationary Officer) in a public sector bank. Want to shift to engineering field through UPSC IES exam. Is it feasible to step in engineering field?

    i am 25 yrs old and have done my b.tech in information technology and mba in marketing and working as po officer in public sector bank .i want to go engineering field by applying for upsc ies exam,,,is it feasible to go to engineering field by leaving management field at this stage? whether it will hamper my career growth???

    Hi Aspirant,


    Of course friend IES exam is a feasible step for you.

    You can give the UPSE IES exam.

    UPSC conducts IES exam for the recruitment of Assistant Executive Engineer.

    This exam is conducted once in a year.

    You can apply for this exam in next year through UPSC official website.


    Required qualification for IES exam

    You should have technical degree in any discipline from valid university or its equivalent.

    You can apply for IES exam from following four stream:

    Civil

    Mechanical

    Electrical

    Electronics and Telecommunication

    Age should be between 21 to 30 years

    Age relaxation as per government norms

    You must be Indian


    According to your profile you are fully eligible to apply for IES exam


    Exam pattern for IES exam





    You can apply for UPSC exam through Online and offline application form.
