it is quiet well if medical science is your stream subject in your graduation.
pros : you know how to attempt quetions. there is just need to revise syllabus. only new will be added in syllabus.
cons: you will be crossed at the time of interview.
For the optional you only consider your approach to the subject i.e if you are able or feel that you get good score in the subject then you don't need to know about the pros and cons of it..
As it may happen which subject you feel easy may be difficult for someone else....
so check your grip in the subject.........
