    hi
    if you need to be an IAS officer, you need to fulfill the following eligibilty criteria which states that you should be a graduate from a recognized indian university and your age should be in between 21-30 years of age.
    A relaxation of 3 and 5 years is given to the candidates belonging from the obc and the sc/st category respectively.

    its eligibility criteria includes=

    -age limit=minimum age required is 21 years
    maximum age is 30 years

    **there is certain age relaxation for sc/st/obc/ph/ex-servicemen

    -educational qualification=minimum qualification required is bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university or post graduate

    -medically fit and fine in all aspects

    -must be indian

    ***civil service exam=its a common exam for IAS,IPS,CIVIL SERVICES,IRS etc.

    1)preliminary test

    2)civil service main exam

    Yes you are eligible for IAS exam since you have a degree.

    Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS officer. UPSC doesn't take the marks or work experience into consideration.


    The basic eligibility criteria Civil Services Examination are as follows:
    Educational Qualification

    The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university


    Final year degree students are also eligible


    Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university


    Age limit


    General 21-30 yrs

    SC/ST 21-35 yrs
    PH 21-40 yrs

    Number of attempts permitted


    General 4

    OBC 7
    PH 7
    SC/ST No Limit

    Nationality should be Indian.

    For that you need to Write an Entrance Exam

    Exam is called as " Civil Services Aptitude Test " ( C.S.A.T )

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative service.To become an IAS one can qualifying the Entrance exam conducted by UPSC. The exam consist of 3 stages:
    1. Preliminary Exam:
    The preliminary exam is usually conducted in month of May/june.The question are of objective type.It is just a qualifying exam for the final exam.
    2. Main Exam:
    Those candidates who have qualified in the preliminary exam are supposed to take the final exam normally conducted in the month of October.

    3.Interview:
    Once you are qualified the test the final stage is Interview to test their personality & mental ability.

    Then the candidate who have scored good rank go for training.


    The aspirant has to procure the application form from any of the post office/Head post office spread all over the country.
