Its really better idea to go for it but be careful as well.

As you have not mentioned your graduation area, i will not say exact subject for IAS. so below are all optional subjects for IAS, you can make choice accordingly.

    Chemistry
    Psychology
    Medical Science
    Economics
    Geography
    Agriculture
    Philosophy
    Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
    Anthropology
    Law
    Public Administration
    Physics
    Geology
    Mechanical Engineering
    Statistics
    Sociology
    Commerce and Accountancy
    Electrical Engineering
    Zoology
    Civil Engineering
    Management
    History
    Mathematics
    Political Science and International Relations
    Botany

Note: My intention is not to demotivate you but, dont ruin your graduation with matter of IAS. Because UPSC having hardly 1000 vacancies to fill for all the services and its part of luck as well sometimes.
If you have better graduation you can take job based on that even after not becoming Civil servant.

    All the very best.

Well, Happy to know you are very determined about To be an IAS...according to me.. you have to do well in your graduation subjects also along with IAS preparation.

Don't go for B.tech as you are keen interested in IAS...and it will take 4 years to complete graduation.

You can opt. for the following subject and you will have an upperhand as compared to other if you will for for B.Sc or B.A. in Political Science/History/Economy/Geography...

as they are the core subjects in UPSC Prelims and you may opt them as your optional subjects... thus getting an upperhand somehow.

    Hope you are getting me.
