    How to become an IPS Officer and Which Subjects are best for IPS exam ?

    Hello Sir,
    I am jawan nath.j.nath and I am from Kutch I have completde my Gradution from Sauarastr University in Bsc.I.T ( Information Technology )field.

    Hello Sir I want to become An IPS officer so
    1.I want to know how to become an IPS officer ?
    2.Which Subjects i can take for IPS exam ?
    3.Whre to buy IPS Exam books?
    4.Which Subjects are Suitable for me ?

    should write UPSC CIVIL SERVICE EXAM.
    u can buy UPSC PORTAL GENERAL STUDIES, MADE EASY ENGLISH, MADE EASY GENERAL STUDIES, MANORAMA YEAR BOOK,
    R.S.AGARWAL for reasoning & aptitude.

    u have to write the UPSC civil service exam to become an IPS officer
    u can refer the following books for your studies:-CPF (BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, CISF) Assistant Commandant Exam by Arihant Publisher

    for become an IPS officer,please complete your graduation with recognized university.and you have to write the upsc exam.
    you can refer the books of arihant publication & upkar publication .they are the best books for competitive exam.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR I.P.S EXAMINATION:-

    * Candidates who are applying for the I.P.S. examination should require a Bachelor�s degree from a recognized university in any one of the subjects
    Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering.

    * The age of the candidate must not be less than 21 years & not more than 30 years.

    * For SC/ST candidates 5 years & for O.B.C. 3 years of upper age limit relaxation is available.

    * You must be Physically fit.

    EXAM PATTERN:-

    The examination consists of 3 phases.

    1)Preliminary Examination
    2)Main Examination
    3)Interview

    Preliminary Examination Consists of 2 papers.



    After clearing the Preliminary Examination the candidate is called for Main Examination.

    Main Examination consists of Nine papers

    Paper -1 One of the Indian Language which carries 300 Marks.
    Paper -2 English carries 300 Marks.
    Paper -3 Essay carries 200 Marks.
    Paper -4 & 5 General Studies carries 600 marks.
    Paper -6,7,8,9 Any two Subjects to be selected from the prescribed Optional Subjects each having 300 marks & total 1200 Marks.

    After clearing the Main examination the candidate is called for Interview.

    Interview Test carries 300 Marks.

    IPS exam is conducted by UPSC for recruitment of IPS officers.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR IPS
    -Age limit
    Minimum 21 years & Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs.
    -Educational Qualification
    Graduate degree in any discipline of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India. Candidates who are in the final semester or have taken their final degree exam but are awaiting the results can also appear.
    -Number of Attempts
    Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs.

    Hello friend,
    To become an IPS Officer or Indian Police officer,First one can qualifying the exam with good rank .The eaxm conducted by UPSC every year.
    The aspirant can apply from the examination through On line/Off Line.The information for the exam rules & syllabus detailsis published in the month of December in the "Employment news","Rozgar samachar","Gazette of India" & some leading newspapers of India.
    Eligibility:
    The Bachelor degre holder of any recognized University is eligible for the exam .Those in the final year of a degree course& distance degree holder are also apply for the exam.
    Age:
    For general-Minimum 21 & maximum 30 at the time of examination.
    Upper age limit is relaxed by 3 year for OBC & 5 year for SC/ST .
    upper age limit is also relaxed for Defence service personnels.
    If you are eligible then you can apply for IPS exam.
    It is very tough to discuss which subjects are best for IPS but the candidate who have a good knowledge in General studies,English is Best for IPS.

    Hello,

    You have to write civil service exam through UPSC if you want to become an IPS officer. Its require qualification is that.

    Eligibility Criteria:-

    1. Should be graduate from recognized university.
    2. Age should be for General :- 21-30 yrs.
    OBC :- 21-33 yrs.
    SC/ST :- 21-35 yrs.
    3. Should be citizen of India.

    Dear

    To become an IPS officer you would be crack Civil Service Exam

    For this examination must be Graduate any stream from any recognized university with any percentage

    Age must be between 21-30 year

    You must select optional subject as per your interest

    in which subject your grip is best you should choose those
