    The UPSC carries out the IPS entrance exam for the recruitment of candidates into the Indian police service. Those who clear this exam will be required to clear the interview and the physical fitness test too.

    PATTERN OF IPS Entrance Exam

    The IPS exam will have two parts. They are the Preliminary Examination and the Main Examination.

    The preliminary will comprise of two papers:

    The general studies paper � This paper will carry 150 marks.
    CSAT

    Syllabus of the IPS Entrance Exam

    Students will have to prepare for all the subjects mentioned below. They must make it a point to cover all the required areas.

    Quantitative Aptitude
    Verbal Ability
    DI/DS
    Reasoning Ability
    General Awareness
    Both these papers will be of the objective category. Students can write the exam in Hindi or English. The syllabus will be of the graduate level.

    The Main Examination will comprise of the following papers.

    Paper I - One Indian language � This will carry 300 marks
    Paper II � English � This will carry 300 marks
    Paper III � Essay- This will carry 200 marks
    Paper IV&V - General Studies - This will carry 300 marks
    Paper VI-IX - Any two optional subjects � Each paper will carry 300 marks
    Each of these papers will have duration of 3 hours.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

    Educational Qualifications for IPS :
    Bachelor�s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

    Age limit:
    21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs.

    Number of Attempts
    Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt.

    Physical fitness criteria for IPS-
    Height � Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) � 160 cm
    Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

    Chest � Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
    Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

    Eye sight � 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

    Blood pressure (High) � Age 23 � 123, age 24 � 124, age 25 �122, age 28 � 124, age 30 �125, age 32 � 126, age 34 � 127.
    Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test.

    Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment shd not be more than 30 decibels.

    Nasal- candidate should not stammer while speaking.

    To become an IPS officer you have must have a graduate degree. If you are in your final year of graduation then you can apply. Every year upsc conducts civil service exam. there will be 2 exams preliminary and them mains. For preparation you can take help from study centers like ujjawal, inspiration,chronicles study center etc

    For becoming an IPS officer you need to pass out the Civil Service exams conducted by the UPSC gracefully.
    This involves loads of efforts as they aren't easy to crack.
    The exam is divide into two phase-
    #The preliminary,which involves two objective type question papers of 200 marks each.The question are based on general studies,history,geo,current affairs,maths,comprehension,reasoning,aptitude,dat a interpretations,etc.
    #The mains where you choose two optional subject involves detailed question pattern of the subjects which require severe study.
    Then the successful candidates move forward for the interviews.
    You also be physically eligible for becoming an IPS officer.
    Thus,you can go ahead to achieve your goals.

    IPS stands for indian police service and it is conducted by the upsc (union public service commission) annually . you can apply online for it and submit your applications which will be available in the official website of upsc (www.upsconline.com)

    Hello,
    IPS is similar to IAS, to become an IPS officer you have to clear civil services. as ips stands for indian police services, the students who secured high rank become IAS and who got low rank in civil services exam become IPS.
    do ur bca 1st. and then prepare for cilvil services, get good rank and u can become IPS officer.
    civil services is conducted in 2 phase
    1. prelims, which is objective type aptitude and general awarness exam and is common for all
    2. main, which is subjective type writthen exam, there you have to opt for two optional subject
    3. last in interview round, if u clear both of above 2 then u will call for intrview.

    upsc conducts exams for ips too. u just need to clear its 3 levels of examination. 1- CSAT, 2- MAINS, 3- interview

    IPS is an exam conducted by UPSC
    Eligibility required:
    -Age limit
    Minimum 21 years & Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs.

    to become an IPS u need to give upsc
    for this u need to be a graduate and must have attained 21yrs
    height is a factor so for male the height must be 160cm and for females:150cm
    eye sight:6/6
    should be able to run 10kms in 60 mins

    there are three levels for the exam:
    1st-prelims
    2nd-mains
    3rd-personal interview

    IPS Stands for the Indian Police Service

    and for the ips post you have to give the civil services exam

    Here is the required qualification for the cse exam:

    Age limit: The age limit is 21-30

    And relaxation will be given to the sc.st of 5 years '

    And for the ph it is 10 years

    And age relaxation given to the obc of 3 years

    Education: The candidate should be pass in graduation from a recognized indian university

    To become a IPS Officer , you need to crack the Civil Service Examination then only you can become a IPS Officer . It is not a easy one crack because there is a heavy competition in this examination . Every year thousand of candidates are appearing for this examination .

    To become an Indian Police Service(IPS),
    you need to write Civil Service Exam(CSE) which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) every year.

    The
    qualifications of CSE are:

    Educational qualifications: A bachelor's degree(Graduation)

    Age:- General: 21-30yrs, OBC: 21-33yrs, SC/ST: 21-35yrs

    Note: There's a considerable age relaxation for special category people like Blind, Deaf-Mute etc.

    There are three
    phases in the CSE:

    if you want to become an IPS officer than you have to give civil services examination and clear it succesfully and give the first preference on IPS in the application form .


    every year the notification for the examination is released in the month of February and the exam is generally held in the month of may every year once.


    if you want to appear in te examination than you must fulfill the qualifications and criteria required for the same.


    qualifications required :-


    * the candidate must be an indian .
    * the candidate must be a graduate from a govt recognized
    university.

    age criteria:-

    *for general category :- 21-30 years.

    Dear,

    After complete the degree you are eligible for the exam. The qualification required for the upsc civil service exam is the graduation in any stream from the recognized

    university which is approved by the ugc/aicet. The percentage of the marks is no matter for the exam.

    The age limit of the civil service exam

    The age limit is for general category is 21 to 30 years. And attempt the exam 4 times.

    The age limit is for obc category is 21 to 33 years (3 years relaxation). Attempt the exam 7 times.

    Age limit for SC/ST category is 21 to 35 years and attempt chance till overage. Means no limit.


    Structure of the exam


    Preliminary exam held in the month of the May, main exam held in the month of the October.


    In preliminary exam two paper held both of the exam is general study


    In mains exam the eight paper held


    One paper of the General English


    One paper of the language


    Two paper of the general study.


    Two �two paper of your optional subject.

    To become an (Indian Police Service) IPS Officer you have to appear and clear the UPSC CIVIL SERVICES EXAMS(CSE).

    The CSE exams is conducted every year to make recruitments to 24 services/posts to which vacancies are present in a year.

    The CSE is conducted in 3 stages :

    1.Prelims/CSAT exam-CSAT stands for Civil Services Aptitude Test.It is conducted to shortlist candidates for the Mains exams.It consists
    of two papers of General studies viz.Paper 1 & Paper 2 each of 200 marks.so total marks for CSAT is 400 marks.
    After clearing the CSAT one becomes eligible to appear in the UPSC Mains exams.

    2.Mains exam-
    is to be cleared to get an interview call.Choice of 2 Optional Subjects is to made and two papers of each subject is to be prepared.
    Total marks for Mains Written exams is 2000 marks.

    3.Interiews-is the test of personality of candidates.It is of 300 marks.Interviews have to be attempted and cleared to be in the Final Merit List.

    IPS stands for the Indian police services.

    The examination is conducted by UPSC under civil services for IPS.

    To become IPS officer in future you have to clear the civil services which is conducted in three stages:
