First of all I would like to appreciate your decision to become an IAS officer.
It is a not a big issue that you belong to a family which has poor background .What it needs to become an IAS officer ,it strong determination ,hard labour along with a bit of luck and positive approach towards your goal of life.Blessings of god is compulsory.
Fortune favours the brave .
For example ,in 2011 a son of a rickshaw puller cracked the civil services examination which good rank ,so you need to take motivation from candidates like them .Never let negative things come in your mind.
Be optimistic ,do self study as much as possible and friend you also know that 'Labour never goes in vain' and one more thing that there is no alternative for the hard labour .SO you cannot escape from them.
Strengthen your basics ,be updated with what is going around the world ,and focus on your main subjects then no body can stop you from achieving your desired goal.
Note: Do not blame the situations ,you are the creator of your own future.

Bachelor's degree in any stream is the minimum qualification required for it .So after bachelor's degree in business administration you will be eligible for the Civil services examinations.
The age limit is 21-30 years for the general candidates and upper age relaxation to obc ad sc/st respectively.
The no of attempts for the general candidates is four and that for the obc is seven and for sc/st it is no limit.
