If youre having a lot of free time then you should simply use it with the maximum utility in increasing your current affairs knowledge because in civil services preparation, preparing for the general studies proves out to be the toughest part. Therefore you should utilize that time while reading the current affairs books of the general studies paper.

It is good enough that you are thinking of civil services as earlier as you can do the preparation. You better start grttingvthe matter as soon as you can do. and apply for the coaching classes in your last two years of degree.

Dear if you are interested in civil service exam preparation then it is nice way for you to make your career because you are a engineering student and if you will get at least 3-4 hours everyday then you may prepare well for this examination and you should follow these following points

    >> When you go to college in morning then before going to college you should complete your all institute work in morning time and complete your college studies during college period

    >> When you get free in college during lunch time or any extra class time then you should use any good book for the preparation of civil service examination and you should bring any good book to college

    >> When you comes back to your home then take some rest and if you are having no work after college then do not waste your time and start preparation and for that you can use various books and previous years question papers and if possible then try to give more and more time for preparation

    >> Read complete topic and make target in syllabus that you have to complete this topic within fixed days by hook or by crook but do not take tension about preparation because you are not going to appear for examination that is why be cool and try to save your college study means that should not be effected by this

    >> You should have entire syllabus with every single topic and should have various publication's books to prepare well for this exam and get more knowledge about civil service examination

    >> You should not forget to revise every topic everyday and keep reading various news papers and magazines as The Hindu, Chronicle, Civil Service Times etc.

    >> You should make those friends only who are interested in civil service or other relevant competitive examinations and if you will keep your preparation continue then General Studies and CSAT section preparation will help you in Indian Engineering service examination because you can apply for IES exam also if you are :

Going to complete your degree in any one of the - Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or Mechanical Engineering so you must try to appear for this exam and qualify this examination
