Is it good to do preparation for Civils along with AMIE? What difficulties may I face in this course of time? Which degree course is most appropriate for an IAS aspirant between AMIE and BA?

Is preparing for civils along with AMIE a good option or one should opt for other degree if possible?

    Hello
My dream is to be in CIVIL SERVICES. I am 20 now and presently working in INDIAN RAILWAYS as TECHNICIAN and have just started AMIE and will be writing my first exams in DECEMBER. But now am confused whether preparing for CIVILS along with AMIE a good option as we all know AMIE is a very lengthy and time consuming course. Is this the right choice i have made??? or should i opt for something like B.A which i am planning to pursue. The reason being
    1) i will be able to complete it in 3 yrs
    2) Most of the syllabus of B.A subjects overlap with the syllabus of GENERAL STUDIES of CIVILS exam
    3) i will get more time for preparatin

So kindly suggest me something regarding this issue. Should i continue with AMIE or should opt for B.A???
    Thanking in ANTICIPATION

    REGARDS

Yes you can do the preperation for the same with AMIE, because all you need to do is to do just concentration the civil cervices examination for that you need to prepare according to the syllabus, you can continue the studies as well, you can make the seperate timing for the civil services exam because after the preperation of that if you are in final year of the graduation then you can apply for that, if you are well prepared then you can qualify the examination very well.
To prepare for the examination you will face the difficulties related to the concentration so you need to make your mind stable before the preperation so that you can concentrate for the exam.
Any of the degree which is god for the examination you can choose to qualify the civil services examination.
If possible then you can choose the subjects related to the history, geography and civics in the graduation as these are the best subjects to choose because if you have these subjects then you can easily qualify the civil services aptitude test in the same.
For that you need to study hard.
So if you are interested in any of the optional subjects then you can choose that subjects to qualify the examination because that will help you a lot.
