    dear friend,

For UPSC exams like Civil Services there is no consideration of percentage in your academic background. So do not worry about the percentage and concentrate only on clearing 10th,12th and graduation.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    1. Graduation in any stream. Last year appearing in graduation can also apply for UPSC exam.

    2. Age Limit: Age limit for different category candidates:
    General: 21 to 30 years
    OBC: 21 to 33 years
    SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

    How To apply?

You can apply for the exam online on following link:

    Hello Dear

Its good to hear that you are being aspiring for the U.P.S.C exams.I think you have not provided enough details in this query. You should have atleast specified the exam which are preparing for. Anyways there is no restrictiveness kind of approach towards the percentage you have in 10th or 12th.However they set minimum percentage criteria for only graduation holders. Some U.P.S.C exams have 50 % graduation criteria and some exams have minimum pass criteria. But in all cases, the graduation has to be from a recognized university under UGC act. They never negotiate on this.

    upsc.gif.jpg

See if you are a graduate from a recognized university with 50 or more percentage, then you are safe enough to be eligible for almost all UPSC exam, no matter how much percentage you had in your 10th or 12th. Mind you one more important thing. You must be an Indian Citizen and you should also satisfy the age norms set by UPSC

Whatever job you will get after cracking U.P.S.C exam would come under central govt category.Which means you would be able to avail many allowances, perks and remuneration applicable under central govt job. So prepare well and work hard. You may also enroll yourself in any good coaching institute for a better result.I think you are clear with your query now.Anyways best of luck for a bright future.

Re: How many marks should I score in 10th, 12th and graduation to be eligible for UPSC examinations?

upsc has nothing to do with the marks of 10th as it is only useful for the selection of subjects in your further class.so if you get good marks in your 10th standard then you can easily make selection of the subjects according to your interest.
upsc do not have any percentage bar for it aspirants so don't worry about percentage in 12th or in graduation .

after 12th you will become eligible for upsc nda and srca exam for which you need to have physics, chemistry, maths and english as your subjects .
for nda your age should be between 16.5to 19 years
foe srca your age should be between 17 to 21 years

after graduation you will become eligible for upsc exams like cds, civil services, cpf ifs etc for which you need to be a graduate in any subject form recognized university under ugc and you age should be between 21-30 years if you are a general category aspirant.

Re: How many marks should I score in 10th, 12th and graduation to be eligible for UPSC examinations?

If you like to apply for the UPSC IAS examination after graduation then you are eligible and nothing more than will be required to apply for the same because UPSC IAS comes under the civil services examination which is conducted by the UPSC once in a year to select the candidates in the highest post of the civil services.
So the percentage criteria of class 10th ,12th and graduation never required to apply for the same so never worry for the nonsense because it will be the wastage of the time.
I am giving you the whole eligibility criteria for the civil services examination as follows-
Eligibility criteria for the Civil services examination-
Age should be 21 to 30 years of age.
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university can apply for the same.
Age relaxation for the civil services examination is as follows-
    SC/ST 5 years.
    OBC 3 years.
    Ex servicemen 5 years.
Disabled defence officer in army during war for commissioned officer 3 years of age relaxation.
    Examination pattern-
CSAT stands foir the civil services aptitude test which is the first stage of the examination. It consist of 2 papers and both general studies of 400 marks total.
MAINS examination is if you qualify the examination CSAT then called for the Mains examination.
There will be 9 papers of 2000 marks .
By qualifying the same candidates are called for the interview.
    Interview consist of 300 marks.
