the miniumum marks to required qualify for the mains exams is 50% for the unreserved/general category.
the 40% marks for the reserved category.

cut off marks list is depend on the number of candidate, depend on the number of post and depend on the average marks obtained by the candidates.

I varies from year to year. It depends on the number of vacancies, difficulty level of the question paper and the average marks secured by the candidates.
to be on the safer side, you can aim to score above 55% in case of general or 45% in case of OBC and 40% incase of SC/ST

*OBC-822

*SC-807

*for st and other category it will be lower than the above marks.

dear no one pridict this because its all depends on many factors because each year its change and may be increase or decrease according to paper and no of candidates pass and how many cross paper etc . but at least u get 60 to 80 % in main may be selected as IAS .

I'll suggest you not to concentrate on cut-off marks but give your best to set a higher cut-off mark.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination is of 2300 marks in total.

In which ,

* The Preliminary Exam is of 600 marks ,

* MAINS Exam is Of 1400 marks.

* Interview of 300 marks.

Now the minimum marks that you should get to qualify for MAINS Exam is 40% . It would be better for you to try to score better because there is so much competition amongst candidates that the minimum marks vary per year.

So , In my opinion , the minimum marks that you obtain is 50% marks.
