    Dear Applicant,
-The Union Public Service Commission allows NO such relaxations in age specifically for female candidates.
-The CIVIL SERVICE PRELIMINARY EXAMS in 2012 were successfully conducted on the 20th of May.Hence, you may no longer apply for these.
-According to the age you have mentioned,You will be 32 Years of Age in 2013.
-Clearly,you cross the Age limit of 21 To 30 years for the CIVIL SERVICE exams by a Good 2 years margin.
Hence,if you belong to the GENERAL CATEGORY,you CANNOT APPLY FOR THE CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS.
-However,there is a relaxation in the upper age limit by 3 Years for OBC & Physically Disabled and by 5 Years for SC,ST & ex-servicemen.
-THEREFORE,YOU MAY APPEAR THE CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS ONLY IF YOU BELONG TO ANY Five OF THE CATEGORIES.
    1. Other Backward Classes.
    2. Physically Disabled.
    3. Schedule Caste.
    4. Schedule Tribe.
    5. Ex-servicemen or Government Employees
-Apart from these,You must also meet the Nationality and Educational Qualifications Criteria-
NATIONALITY - You must be a citizen of India,
or,You must be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan,
or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India before 1962.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS - You must have completed Your Graduation or equivalent, from a recognized university, with any subject or stream.

and there is relaxation in upper age limit for OBC candidate is 3 years(21 years to 33 years) and for SC/ST candidate there is relaxation of 5 years(21 years to 35 years).

Re: I am a female graduate born on 18th september 1981. Am I eligible for UPSC Civil Service Exam?

Sorry , there is no special category for female candidates . The age limits and relaxation is common to all the candidates .

Civil Service Examination is divided into three stages :- 1)Prelims 2)Main 3)Personal Interview .

Prelims examination was already completed on 20/05/12 and Next announcement will be in the month of February OR March in the official website of UPSC as well as employment news papers and other leading news papers also .

If you are belongs to general candidates then there is no chances to apply for the Civil Services examination because your last chance was already completed . So you can't apply for the Civil Service Examination . For Information check the this year announcement :- born not earlier than 2nd august , 1982 and not later than 1st august 1991 .
But if you are belongs to SC/ST/OBC or other reserved categories then you are eligible to apply for Civil Service Examination .

Basic qualification for Civil Service Examination is that candidate should have a holding the degree of a recognized University or equivalent qualification .

    Hi dear

The age limits for the UPSC Civil services Exam is 21-30 years with no relaxation to a general female candidate. So if you are a general category applicant then you are clearly not eligible for the UPSC Civil Services Exam as you have crossed the upper age mark.

However UPSC has provision to grant relaxation in upper age limit to following category applicants:-
    1. OBC ( 3 years relaxation)
    2. Physically disable ( 3 years relaxation)
    3. SC or ST ( 5 years relaxation)
    4. Ex-servicemen or a government employee ( 5 years relaxation)
So if you belong to any one of these categories then you are eligible for the next UPSC Civil services exams.

    ***Hi friend!!***

The answer to your question is YES if you
do not belong to General Category.
    Because the age qualifications for

    OBC: 21-33yrs

    SC/ST: 21-35yrs

Note: There's a considerable age relaxation for special categories like Blind, Deaf-Mute etc.

females are also applicable to apply for the upsc civil services examination.
the age criteria and the eligibility criteria for both males and females is same .

to apply for the upsc civil services examination you need to have a graduation or a engineering degree from a recognized university under UGC. and the age criteria for the exam is

21-30 years for the general category
21-33 years for the OBC category
21-35 years for the SC/ST category

so according to your present age you are not eligible to apply for the upsc civil services examination if your are general category aspirant.
but if you belong to OBC or the SC/ST category then you are eligible to apply.

the number of attempts for the exam are limited
for the general category there are only 4 attempts
for the OBC category there only 7 attempts.

SC/ST category has no limitation on the number of the attempts.
