I belong to a poor family, but have good interest to become a civil servant through UPSC. What to do for preparation as I have no money in hand?

    Hi Aspirant,

Friend money is not so much necessary to be civil servant as courage and strong desire to achieve your goal.

With this spirit you can fulfill your aim in opposite circumstances.

UPSC organizes the civil service exam every year for the IAS, IRS and IPS posts.

You should do any part time job to earn money and study at your home.

Earnging what you will earn from part time jobs you can spend on purchasing yours books and tuition fee.

You should study from NCERT books and reference books of good writer.

As possible join the coaching for some time to get better guidance.

Friend always mind one thing you will get up in such a situation.

    Best of Luck

No problem, its only the spirit that is required. First join some library near your place, follow the newspapers regularly and i guess preparation books will be available there. There are lot of coaching centres run by both the central and state govts with no tution fees. But you have to crack entrance exam for such coaching centres. ALL the BEST

    Dear friend,

for clearing civil services only one quality is required that is the willingness to do hardwork.

i think you have internet access as you have posted question here.so use it to the fullest.it is a resource bank.

you can get access through various magazines and newspapers in the libraries.
    make use of them.

nowadays there are many free coaching centres available in different parts.i heard in chennai also some free coaching centre run by private persons are available.almost every state govt runs free coaching centres..just search and collect those information.

    all the best

yes you can definitely achieve success in IAS examination.
there are many cases of poor candidate who have scored very good marks in IAS examinations.

friend you need atleast some amount of money to buy some books relating to your syllabus.
because without it you won't be able to prepare yourself that well for the examination.
you need to find various sources for preparation as well.
you can join a part time job and can earn money which can be utilize to purchase the books.
You can also earn from the internet through has earn and learn program this website has.
it is very good initiative by this website to help the aspirants and share the knowledge between fellow members.

In most of the cities I think government also conducts free coaching to IAS Aspirants.
so better start doing inquiry in your city if there is any.

Here are couple videos of IAS toppers:

Focus your whole concentration on this examination and don't waste your time in unnecessary things.
If you Study Hard and give your everything in this examination than I am sure you will get selected.
