>> The time period to apply for the Civil Services exams,2012 was from the first week of February to the 8th of March,2012.
>> While applying for the Preliminary exams,you were supposed to mention the subjects that you would be opting for the mains exams.
>> According to what you have mentioned here,you have not mentioned the Optional Subjects that you would be opting for the MAiNS. Abiding by the rules,your application form is bound to get REJECTED.
>> However,the Preliminary exams of the Civil Services were conducted on the 20th of May,2012 and if you gave the written exams,then you can take a chance and wait until the results of these are announced by the 1st week of August.You might get a chance if luck favors you.

Upsc : stands for the union public service commission
And they are conducting the civil services exam
And for the posts like IAS,IPS Every year
And yes it is necessary to mention the names of the optional subjects
And sorry to say that your application will be rejected
As according to the upsc you have to mention the name of the optional subjects

and it is necessary to fill the optional subjects For mains exams. Your form definitely be rejected.
