the salary structure and benefits and power almost same in own area.

when the upsc take the exam both of the ias and ies the same procedure for the exam.

only different in the required qualification.

for ias exam required the qualification graduation in any stream

for ies exam required the qualification in engineering lines.

so you choice the one line according to your qualification.
