    Satej,
I would personally recommend you to opt for arts subjects. They might prove beneficial.
PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION,by far is the best subject. Its very scoring and also provides u with the knowledge of how the centre works which would be helpful even at the interviews.
HISTORY & GEOGRAPHY are also considered to be very scoring.
Now its up to u to choose.

    Hello,
If you want to choose arts subjects then it is more easy for you to prepare for the examination. You can choose History, Sociology or Political Science, Psychology etc.
Sociology and History is easy to read and you have to answer it in your own words. But you have good writing skills.

You have to download old question papers for pattern of examination from upsc official website www.upsc.gov.in

    Wish you all the best

for the mains exams you can chose any two from these subjects:

Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Commerce and Accountancy, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Geography, Geology, History, Law, Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science and International Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Statistics, Zoology.

in my opinion being a commerce graduate you should think about Commerce and Accountancy, Economics,Mathematics,Political Science and International Relations,Public Administration, Sociology.
