Dear if you want to apply for Indian Economic Service Examination then you should have a master's degree in Economics or Applied Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics from a recognized university
Your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years, relaxation in upper age as 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

Indian Economic services is also conducted by the Union Public service commission.The eligibility criteria for the Indian Economic services are as below:
1.Academic requirement:
>>Minimum of post graduation in economics/applied economics/business economics or econometrics is required for the Indian economic services examination.
>>Final year candidates can also apply for the exam.
>>Passing % of marks in it is enough to become eligible for the exam.
2.Age criteria :
The general age limit is 21-30 years and relaxation of three years to obc and five years to the SC/St respectively.
3.Nationality:
>>You must be an Indian citizen.
4.Important dates for the IES 2013 are:
Date of notification:17/08/2013.
Last date of receiving application:16/09/2013
Date of examination:09/11/2013.
Note : I have attached the previous year papers of the IES exam.

Question Papers of Indian economic services Exam
Indian Economic Services Examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year and to apply for this examination you have to complete Post graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics course from a recognized University.
Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for reserved category.

The educational qualification required for applying in Indian Economic Service is
Post Graduate in Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics/Econometrics.
You can not apply with B.COM as a degree for Indian Economic Services.
