IPS exam stands for Indian police services exam.
to apply this exam,
--you must be graduate from a recognized university
---general age limit is 21-30 years.

There is no compulsion of the mathematics in the UPSC exams.
You can give in any of the other optional subjects.
The mathematics in the UPSC exams is very simple and basic so there is no difficulty forthe candidate for clearig ths who have a basic knowledge of the mathematics.
So do not worry about that you can choose any other subjects for the UPSC exam.

No, mathematics is not compulsory for appearing in the IPS exam.
You can give the exam of IPS after doing the graduation in B.A.
Eligibility for appearing in the IPS exam-
1. The candidate must have the graduation degree from a recognized university.appeared candidate can also apply.
2. Age limit is 21-30 years.
