Nothing is stated regarding NCC but if you are a NCC candidate they might give you importance in interview level but in prelims and mains no importance will be given.

No NCC is not important in IPS exam.
And there is no extra preference given to the NCC candidates in IPS exam.
NCC candidates has given the preference in the defence services.
IPS exam is same for all candidates of India who are applying for it.
You must have a graduation degree from a recognized university of Indian and your age must e Lies in between 21-30 years.
