read as many aricles from thee leading newspaper like The hindu,THe times of India etc

read competitive magazine like CSIR,pratiyogita darpan for the ESSAY section.

do pratices at various topics at home within exmination condition.

split essay in three parts e.g INTRODUCTION,body,conclusion.

then during the writing first gather the material,arranged them accordingly in three above mentioned parts.

besides that check the solved ESSAY in different COACHING's magazine, read them analysis your essay on the same, then do the rest part.

read articles from TH HIndu, Frontline, Outlook etc . also read some articles in net on issues which you consider important. Practice makes a man perfect. SO look at previous year papers and choose a topic, write and evaluate yourself. your essay should be coherent, clearly articulated and nicely intended.
