Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Civil Service Exam 2013

A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this exam

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age would be provided only to reserved category candidates which is as :

5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen category candidate and relaxation for widow, divorced, separated female candidates as per government standards

You are a current government employees so that you would get 5 years of upper age relaxation in your age means you can apply for this exam till 35 years of age

Sir you do not need to take permission of any officer or any head to apply for this exam because this is the authority of every Indian that if he/she has the eligibility which is required for any exam then he/she can easily apply for this exam so that if you have not crossed your upper age limit then you can apply for this exam at - www.upsc.gov.in and the board will announce the dates for upcoming prelims exam soon so that you should not waste your time and prepare for this exam hardly

If you get free after 5 pm of the day then you should take some rest and if possible then you should join any very good coaching institute which provides study batch in the evening time and you should start your preparation and provide at least 6-8 hours everyday for your preparation

Preliminary exam is going to be conducted at - 19-05-2013

    All the best
