If your age at present is 35 years than you can NOT apply for civils-2013
as one should not reach 35 yrs on 1 Aug' 2013.

Mind it, the cut-off date is from 2012 notification. If it changes in 2013 notification,
then you can apply.

YES YOU ARE VERY MUCH ELIGIBLE FOR THE UPSC CIVIL SERICES.

The age limit of the SC/ST category is between 21 to 35 years and you being the age of 35 years is applicable for the civil services,but this your last chance to apply for the civil services.

First of all let me give you the age limitations for the civil services examinations that is :

So from the given figure you can see that the age limit for the SC/ST is 35 years and your age is 35 years ,if it is not more than 35 before 1st august then you can apply for the civil services examination but mind it you will have only the last chance to appear for civil services.

The other criteria is that :

>>You should have at least bachelor's degree in any discipline form a recognised university.

>>You must be an Indian citizen.

The no of attempts:

General:4

OBC:7

SC/St:no limit.

The examination will be organised in three stages that are:

1.Preliminary test

2.Main examination

3.Personal interview

The important dates are date of notification:02/02/2013 ,last date of receiving application is 04/03/2013.

The date of preliminary examination is 19/05/2013.

Eligibility Criteria To Apply for UPSC Civil Service Exam 2013 :

Candidate should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and if the candidate is pursuing final year of the degree then also he/she is eligible to apply

Age of the candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age would be provided as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC category candidates, 10 years for PWDs and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen category candidates

Dear you are a ST category candidate so that you would get 5 years of upper age relaxation means you can apply for this exam till the completion of your 35 years of age and you have mentioned that you are going to complete your 35 years of age in upcoming month of April 2013 that means you are currently going in 34 years of age and if you have born on April 1978 then you are 34 years and 9 months old but if you have born on April 1977 then you have completed your 35 years of age and over 9 months so dear you should make it clear that if you have born on 1978 then you are eligible to apply for UPSC Civil Service Preliminary exam but if you are from 1977 then you are not eligible to apply for this exam due to crossing the maximum age limit which is required by UPSC board.
