Dear if you ask about the NIOS - National Institute of Open Schooling then you should know that when the school is recognized by the Indian government and it has recognition and accreditation to conduct provide education for school level and also provide the legal score card and certificate of the passing then you should think that it is really good and i would like to say that there is no problem in this board means if you are going to apply for any sector government job on the basis of your NIOS pass out mark sheet then you should not hesitate and apply for that because NIOS is a very good board and legal and running under the government and you would not be rejected anywhere so please apply
Dear there are two ways to enter in the army section which are following as
NDA : National Defense Academy
Indian Military : Should have passed class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board
Indian Navy and Indian Air Force : Should have passed class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board
Age should not be less than 19.5 years and more than 19 years
CDS : Combined Defense Services
Indian Military : Should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and age should be between 19-24 years
Indian Navy and Air Force : Should posses a bachelor's degree with mathematics and physics as a compulsory subject and age should be between 19-22 years for Navy and 19-23 years for Air Force
Dear if you think about the direct recruitment then you should know that both above mentioned ways are also as direct recruitment in which you have to pass only written examination, interview process and physical & medical standards test then you would get the job in defense sector and it is really important for each and every single candidate that they apply for either NDA or CDS to get job in defense sector

NIOS stands for the National Institute of Open science.Yes it is a recognized board.But this board is not only valid for the IIT JEE entrance examinations.
So you are eligible to get entry in the direct entries scheme in army through this board.
TES stands for the Technical entry scheme.It is organised by the Indian Army for getting direct entry into it without giving written test.
The eligibility criteria for this examinations is below:
You must have passed your 10+2 from a recognized board with physics,chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 70% marks in it.
Lots of applications are there.Oraganizing committee sets a minimum % of marks according to which applications are sorted.Candidates who are selected for the direct entry are called for the Service selection Board.
You can apply online for this examination at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
Print out the application form and get it attested and send it to the specified address.

Yes, offcourse NIOS board is also comes under govt. so obviously you can get entry to Army through Technical Special entry in NDA.
