- First of all, it is the CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS are conducted by the UPSC,annually,for the recruitment of the candidates in the Top Civilian posts of an IAS,IPS,IFS,Railways,Postal Services,Revenue Services,etc !!
- Here I have mentioned below the complete procedure for getting enrolled in the CIVIL SERVICES exams.
>> The notifications of the release of application forms are declared by the end of January.Keep visiting the official website of the UPSC to remain updated.The weekly newspaper EMPLOYMENT NEWS is also a good source,where you will easily find the news related to this.
The official website of the UPSC is :: www.upsc.gov.in !!>> Once the forms are available,there are two modes to apply :: OFFLINE or ONLINE.
>> To apply OFFLINE,you can purchase the application kit from your nearest authorized post office.The price of the form is Rs 20/- .
Fill in the form,as directed o the brochure,and then post it on the desired address after pasting the CRF stamps,if required,of the desired price.
>> To apply ONLINE,first visit the website :: www.upsconline.nic.in
The registration is completed in two parts : Part-I and Part-II.
In Part-I,you need to enter all the basic details of yours including your name,about your family,date of birth and educational qualifications.Once you have completed filling the form,you will be asked to make the payment of the application form.
Again,there are two ways to make the desired payment :: Through CHALLAN or through ONLINE BANKING.
Choose the most convenient option for you and make the payment through the SBI.Once you have done that,you will receive a TRANSACTION ID which is to be used while filling the Part-II.
Now,you may proceed to complete your Part-II registration.Input the TRANSACTION ID,Your SCANNED PHOTOGRAPHS and SIGNATURE,and anything else,if asked for.Submit the form and you are done !!
-The comfirmation of your registration will be notified to you via mails on the e-MAIL ID you had provided while filling the form !!

to get enrolled for IAS you have to apply for upsc civil services exam conducted every year by upsc.
the notification for the exam is released in the month of feb/march.you can check it on the official upsc site www.upsc.gov.in.
in these months the form of the exam are available at the head post offices as well as on the site www.upsconline.nic.in.
you can fill form using any of the way.
the exam is conducted in two phases
phase 1 is called PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
phase 2 is called MAINS EXAMINATION
the candidates who clear the preliminary exam are eligible to write in the MAINS exam.
for the mains exam candidate has to select two subjects from the subjects allowed by upsc for this exam.they are as follows
Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Commerce and Accountancy, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Geography, Geology, History, Law, Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science and International Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Statistics, Zoology.
after clearing the MAINS EXAMINATION the candidate is called for the interview.
Dear friend,
follow the following steps:
1)wait for the notification. it will be published in the employment newspaper.
2)once notification is out fill the form online in "www.upsconline.com"
3)copy down the registration number.
4)you will get the hall ticket around one month before the exam from the website
5)take print out of hall ticket and appear in prelims exam
6)once you have qualified prelims again you have to apply online for mains exam.
if you qualify mains you will be called for interview.
