Well dear normally class 12 subject does not have much impact.but if you are serious from 11th for civil services then i should tell you that civil services mainly covers the subjects like history ,geography, and other humanaties subjects.so you can go for arts stream to make your preparation good for civil services exam.
Best of luck
Hii frnds,
dear I think you should take BA stream after 10th bcoz mostly subjects already mention in civil service like that history, geography, ..................but dear you don't appear in this exam after 10th, 11th or 12th..........for it you should be proper graduate from recognised university.............................
Thnks.......................
Jeet Masih
Dear, According to me you go with the humanities group with the history, political science, public administration, sociology, math etc other arts subject. Because high percentage of the syllabus of the civil service exam is covered by these subject The age limit for the exam is the 21 to 3o years The qualification is required candidate must have graduate in any stream from the approved university. Final year graduation student are also eligible for the exam. For more information please update with the www.upsc.gov.in Best of luck
Hello
The civil services includes services like IAS,IPS,IES,IFS.
Now every civil services is related to the Indian culture and the administration. The name of IAS is Indian Administrative services, that means the services related to the Indian administration so you will asked to study the subject that is relate to Indian society and culture like Indian history,Indian geography,Indian political science etc.
you must have understood that the subjects will be related to India and so you will only have the subjects that is usually offered in the humanities stream i,e arts stream,if you go with the arts stream then you have a good chance, actually the subjects is very much related to the humanities stream.
While on the other hand, you have civil services like Indian Engineering Services there it is necessary that you do engineering and for that, you must have science stream in 10+2.
IES has one more abbreviations Indian Economic Services where you need to have a subject called Economics,so basically the requirements are not same for all the civil services. But if you go with the arts stream, there will be many subject which will familiar to you.
Dear there is no relation of your subject with the civil service which you are going to take in your 11th class means you may choose any subject but you will get the profit of your subject in the mains exam when you will choose the subject and you may choose any one of following subject for your 12th class :
1. Agriculture Science
2. Agriculture Engineering
3. Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
4. Biology
5. Botany
6. Chemistry
7. Physics
8. Mathematics
9. Computer Science
10. Horticulture
11. Sociology
12. History
13. Political Science
14. Geography
15. Economics
16. Business Studies
17. Arts and Literature
If you are going to prepare for your civil service exams then you should choose any one subject and the separate combination of the other subjects would be completed with your selected subject and for your civil services you will have to study hard to be qualified and your specialization subject would not be helpful for you because there are so many subjects comes under the syllabus of civil service prelims in which you will have to complete study about - History, Economics, Geography, Constitution, General Studies, Mathematics, Reasoning, Science, English Language, Current Affairs, Politics etc. so that you may take any subject to prepare for your class 11th and 12th but after completing your 12th exams you should start the preparation of your civil service exams during your college study and when you come to the final year of the degree you need to apply for civil service exams and you can apply if you have following eligibility criteria :
A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this exam and your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates
All the best
UPSC allows you to give the exam in any subject that you are studying,
So, its better to take those subjects only in which you are good and confident.
Take the same subject in your 12th as well as in your graduation.......
Only thing that you have to maintain is that you must do your graduation from a recognized university.
And your age must be between 21 to 31 years(relaxation for the reserved category is available)
If you belongs to the general category then you will get 4 chances only.........
So, prepare well for the exam...........
If you are interested in IAS .
Then you should have subject arts in 11th 12th.
Then complete your graduation and crack IAS exam with your confident and study.
Dear friend,
acc. To me if you are intrested in civil services you should have a good knowledge of history ,geography
so you must go for arts stream so that you have a good command on these subject.
Good luck!!!!!
Thanks & regards.
