For becoming an IAS officer or for appearing for IAS exam , there is no such compulsory subject that you need to study . You can take any subject and study and this
follow in Graduation too . I am saying this because , the syllabus is so divided that 50% is from Science stream and 50% from B.A/B.COM stream .So the equal weight age
is give to every subject . So i would say , which ever subject interest you study that only and complete your Graduation , then apply for IAS exam , being a final year also

For IAS you must give attention to social science,Math And Science
in 10 Standard exams and also you must read NCERT books upto +2
class.
In +2 you must choose Commerce for better understanding of economics
and accounts.
In Graduation you must choose B.COM for success in IAS.

To become an IAS one can appear the entrance exam conducted by UPSC once in a year.The Exam consist of 3 stages such as Preliminary exam, main exam , Interview.
The candidate can apply through online/offline mode.The UPSC application form available in post offices/Head offices spread all over the country.

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University is the minimum qualification required for apply the IAS exam.
There is no restriction on selecting subject.so, you are choose any subject or stream & complete your Graduation degree.After complete your graduation degree you can eligible for IAS exam.

Sincearly.
Ncert books are helping you a lot to become an ias.
But by myself if you opt arts in 11and 12 then this arts subject of 11 & 12
Like history economics and political science helps you a lot to become an ias officer.

For become a IAS Officer there have no compulsory subject. You must have Graduate from any stream then you need to appear in IAS exam conducted by UPSC every year.
So i want to say , which is your interested subject you should study deeply. You must read news paper and current affairs for daily routine for the clearing of IAS examination.
