Re: What are the benefits if I clear UPSC Preliminary examination?
Dear,
after completion of UPSC Preliminary examination, you will be selected for main exam and based on that only you can be selected for INTERVIEW. After that you got a Gazetted Rank or Post, who only orders and other obeys him.
So, to order and to serve people you can compete the Exam. But this service not for those who think about money only.
So be honest, Yourself....

Re: What are the benefits if I clear UPSC Preliminary examination?
upsc Civil Services Examination is the best exam conducted by upsc in my opinion.the aspirants with graduation in any stream from a recognized university under ugc ,within the age limit 21-30 years are eligible for this exam.
this exam consist of two stages.
preliminary exam and
mains exam
if you clear the preliminary exam you would be called for the mains exam in which you have to select two subjects out of the allowed subjects by upsc .
clearing this stage you will be called for an interview .

Re: What are the benefits if I clear UPSC Preliminary examination?
Dear Friend
If you clear the UPSC preliminary examinations ,it will be a great acheivement for you as it is a very tough competition as the no of aspirants is very large as compared to no of seats available.
But there is no other benefits ,after this you have to give the main examinations whose pattern is :
After clear the main examination ,you will be called for the Personal interview which is last stage of upsc exams and when you clear the interview also ,you will become an officer in any of the central department.
To be an IAS/IPS/IFS officer is really proud feeling experience.Lots of students desire for that but they are not able to do so.
Wishing you best of luck for your UPSC exams.May god bless you with success.
thanks

Re: What are the benefits if I clear UPSC Preliminary examination?
Dear friend,
the first and foremost benefit is you can appear in the civil services mains examination which will be held in the month of october/november.
only around ten thousand people avail the opportunity of writing mains examination.so if you are among them then you are step closer in clearing the prestigeous civil services exam.
from lakhs you will be filtered down to thousands. If you perform well in the mains you will be called for the interview.if you perform well you may find a place in the final list.
writing mains gives you the experience of writing descriptive exams.
preparation for mains will improve your knowledge
all the best

Re: What are the benefits if I clear UPSC Preliminary examination?
Hello
Frankly speaking, there will be no such benefits that you will get if you successfully clear the preliminary stage of the civil service exams. The civil service exams are conducted in three stages
1)Preliminary Exam.
2)Mains Exam.
3)Interview.
It is important that you clear every stage of the civil services to successfully get the rank in order to get the posting, every stage is just a qualifying stage for the next one.If you clear the preliminary, then will proceed to the next stage main stage, even the number that you will score in the preliminary stage is not going to get added in the mains as each stage is individual of every other one.
You will have to clear each stage independently and no advantage will be provided on the clearance of any stage,as every stage is just the qualifying stage for the next one.
