Hello,
Of-course you can do the preparation for IAS/IPS examination. If you want to take commerce in UPSC Mains exam then you can take.
But I suggest you to take Arts Subjects like History, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy etc. If you have good writing skills then you can absolutely Crack the Exam.
After that you have to go for the Question Pattern of Exam so you should download and print Previous Years Question Papers from www.upsc.gov.in
Model Test Papers and Sample Papers are most important for Practice.
Wish you all the best,

~I would like to inform you that there is no subject related to Computer in the list of optional subjects in the Civil Service Exams conducted by the UPSC.Therefore you will not have any favour with regards to your educational experience.
~I personally would advice you to go for ARTS SUBJECTS in the Mains Exams.
~The ARTS SUBJECTs consist of INDIAN HISTORY,GEOGRAPHY,POLITICAL SCIENCE AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION.
~These subjects are highly scoring. Also important is that these subjects form the core in the Paper-1 of the preliminary exams. Therefore you can prepare for both the exams together. This saves loads of time.
