For SCRA :

Age criteria:-


1. for general category :- 21-30 years.

but always think twice before you apply for the same because there is a restriction of no. of attempts .


No of attempts :-


for general category category candidate :- 4 att. only

for obc category candidate:- 7 attempts maximum.

Nothing special just as same as men but the qualifications like height,chest,eye sight,etc.. like some will differ but the exam procedure and the other procedure like interview all will be same....

Female candidates are exempted from payment of fee in UPSC exams.
Eligibility conditions such as age limit,educational qualification,number of attempts etc are same for both male and female candidates.

Female candidates are eligible for all main exams like IES,IFS,Civil Services Exam,SCRA,Geologists exam,Engineering Services Exam etc.

But female candidates are not eligible for National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination.This exam is conducted for admission to the navy,army,air force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy course.
Some limitations are also in Combined Defence Service Examination and Central Armed Police Force Examination.

In Combined Defence Service Examination women candidates are eligible for Officers Training Academy only,they should give OTA as their only preference.

In Central Armed Police Force Examination female candidates are eligible for CRPF,CISF and BSF but not for ITBP.

There is no any gender based preference i.e. there is no any special priviledges for women candidate in UPSC Examination. Women candidates are provided with benefit of exemption of examination fees. Moreover, there is slight difference in required physical fitness standard for male and female candidate for IPS Examination. Rest eligibility criteria is same for both male and female candidates.

Eligibility for UPSC exam:-

1-The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for this exam is a bachelor degree in any stream.

2-The minimum eligible age for general candidate is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years.
