Re: What are the compulsory subjects for CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)?

Dear there are some topics and subjects which are compulsorily asked in CSAT Paper which is the one part of preliminary examination of Indian Civil Service Examination and topics are following

    Comprehension
    Interpersonal Skills Including Communication Skills
    Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability
    Decision Making and Problem Solving
    General Mental Ability
Basic Numeracy - Numbers and their relation, orders of magnitude, Data Interpretation - Charts, Graphs, Tables, Data Sufficiency, etc. of Class X Level
English Language and Comprehension Skills - Class X Level

There will be a separate paper of CSAT in Prelims exam for 200 marks and all questions will be asked in objective type pattern so you should prepare all the above mentioned topics in depth to get good marks in preliminary and prove your eligibility for main examination of Indian Civil Service

This year's ICS Preliminary Examination has been conducted and main will be conducted in December so you should focus on the preparation of preliminary examination 2014 because you will be eligible for main examination after passing prelims so first preference should be for that then think about another exam

You can collect more details about this examination including examination pattern, main exam, optional subjects, selection procedure in attached advertisement please refer

If you are interested then you may take any good coaching institute to get prepared well because ICS is not very easy exam like other competitive exams that you will pass without hardcore preparation then you may be wrong because so many aspirants are there who prepares for more than 3 years then get selected so you also have to follow toppers and make good practice and prepare for exam

    All the best
