Compulsory Subjects in IAS Exams are :
*Current events of national and international importance
* History of India and Indian national movement
* Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
* Indian Polity and governance � constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
* Economic and social development � sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
* General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization
* General science.
* Comprehension
* Interpersonal skills including communication skills
* Logical reasoning and analytical ability
* Decision making and problem solving
* General mental ability
* Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. �Class X level)
* English language comprehension skills (Class X level)
* Questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level (last item in the Syllabus of Paper-II) will be tested through passages from English language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper.
* The questions will be of multiple choice, objective type.

Both of the exams first one is the general studies and the second one
Is the English and in the general studies their is some part of the

Also for the exam the candidate must be a graduate from
a recognized Indian university or the candidate should be pass
In any equivalent degree or final year candidates can also apply for the exam
The age of the exam required is between 21 to 30
Also their is age relaxation for the obc and sc,st of 3 and 5 years
Also attempts given to the obc 7 and to the general 4
For the sc,st their is no limitation

The preliminary exam may be held in the month of the May-2103 (because last year the preliminary exam also held in the month of the May).

The UPSC Civil Services Exams is conducted every year.
It is one of the toughest and most prestigious competitive exam at the All India Level.
CSE consists of 3 Stages namely :
1.Prelims/CSAT Exam-consists of 2 papers viz.General Studies paper 1 and General Studies paper 2.
The CSAT syllabus,subjects and exam are common to all candidates.CSAT stands for Civil Services Apptitude Test
common for all candidates and is conducted to shortlist candidates for Mains exam.
2.Mains Exams-Must clear the CSAT to be eligible to appear in the Mains exam.Mains exam consits of 9 papers.
Papers 1 to 5 are compulsory for all and the compulsory subjects are English,one of the Indian Languages from the 18 languages listed in the 8th sechdule of the constitution, Essayand General studies.Papers 6-9 are 2 Optional Subjects 2 papers from each of the subjects.
3.Interviews-is the test of personality of the candidates
