Dear, Benefits for OBC candidates are as follows:- 1. They get 3 years relaxation i.e. from 21 to 33 yrs. they can apply for UPSC exams 2. They are allowed for 7 attempts upto the age of 33yrs. But some times OBC Creamy layers are restricted in some kind of jobs. While in the advertisement of Civil Services there is nothing mention about OBC Creamy Layer Category. Good Luck.... For details you can go for ... http://www.upsc.gov.in/exams/notific.../2012/csp/upsc civil services 2012.pmd.pdf For other exams you can go for :- http://www.amazon.com/10-UPSC-Advert...advertisements
Hi,
I belong to OBC Creamy Layer.
Can I get the age relaxation or not?
In UPSC notification, it clearly says only persons who are eligible to avail reservation can get age relaxation. How far is this correct.
Also, while filling the upsc online form, they clearly mention person coming in creamy layer thus not entitled to avail reservation.
Please advice.
Thanks,
Bharat
Do OBC Creamy Layer candidate get age relaxation or not ? But notification says no. Please advice.
hi
being into the obc category, you will get a relaxation in the age criteria and the number of attempts while giving the upsc exam.
The age limit for the general category is 21-30 years, whereas a relaxation of 3 years is given to the obc category, which makes the age limit as 21-33 years.
The number of attempts for the general category are 4 but for the obc category, the number of attempts are 7
Gud luck
