>> Although there have been many rumors doing the rounds regarding the change in the pattern of the Civil Services exam, there have been no official declaration on the part of the UPSC and hence the pattern of the of the examination is supposed to be the same as that of the exams which are being conducted in 2012.
>> The expected changes are to bring in a separate exam for recruitment into the Indian Police Services.
>> Also, there has been suggestions to remove the pattern of two optional subjects, and providing equal importance to every subject.
>> However, any action upon these will not be taken up before 2014.

There are changes only prelims exam paper only not even main exam of UPSC.
there are first paper same as and second paper will be aptitude test in place of selective subjective paper.
aptitude test paper consist the following section-
1. reasoning
2. Numeric aptitude
3. general English

As far as I am concerned ,there is no change in the pattern of civil services examination .There was only rumors that pattern for civil services examination has been changed .It is as it was conducted in the year 2012.You should concentrate on your preparation.
If there will be any official circular regarding changes in pattern of civil services examination,it will be published in news paper as well as on website of UPSC.
The pattern for the civil services examination is :
1.Civil services aptitude test
2.Main examination
3.Personal interview
