Dear Applicant,
-As of now, there has been no such official
announcement with regards to change in
pattern of the Mains exams of The Civil
Services conducted by the UPSC.
-However,talks of changes are doing the
rounds and possibility of changes are not
ruled out.But it will take its time to
happen, and it will not happen in 2013 at
least.
-The expected change will most probably put
to rest the pattern of two optional
papers. It is done to give equal importance
to all the subjects.Hence,to prepare for the
changing pattern, you will have to stop
avoiding any subject,and provide equal
importance to all.
-However,I will recommend you to prepare
for the 2013 Civil Service exams,by the
similar pattern,as until now.Choose the two
optional subjects,preferably the ARTS
subjects,as they are scoring,and start
preparing for them.
-Improve your writing skills and solve a lot
of model papers.

changes,do refer the official website of the
