Dear Friend,
As far as I know that in Old prelims candidate had to choose an optional subject too.
which is now not there in New Syllabus.
Instead candidates have 2 give compulsory 2 General Studies Paper in order to qualify for the mains.
Old pattern had 150 Marks for General Studies Paper and 300 Marks for Optional Paper.
But in new pattern there will 2 General Studies Paper of 200 Marks Each.
This are major differences as far as I know.
Hope it helps you out in your query.
All the best.
Regards.
dear friend,
in UPSC CSAT the new pattern for UPSC Prelims Exam.
according to old pattern for UPSC Prelims you have to choose two optional subjects for UPSC Prelims.
but in CSAT there is no optional subjects.
in CSAT now there is TWO papers of general studies of each is of 200 marks.
Good Luck......
