dear aspirant,
according to my point of view it is good step taken by UPSC
for changing Prelims exam to CSAT. In CSAT now there is no
optional subjects. where CSAT stands for Civil Services Aptitude
test. candidates who clear the exam are eligible to apply for Mains
Exam. Marks got in CSAT exam won't carry for another exam Mains
Exam. CSAT is only conducted for checking the eligibility of the
candidate for the exam.
Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:
graduation from recognized college or university
AGE LIMIT:
General Category: 21 to 30 years
OBC Category: 21 to 33 years
