If your Date of Birth is 1994 then you can not apply for this examination

Yes, sure you can give this exam bcoz I have calculate your age according to age year which you wrote according that you age now 19 yrs. And for NDA exam candidates should have these requirement:-

1. Should be 12th passed from recognized Board.
2. Age should be 16.5-19 yrs,
3. Should be citizen of India.
4. Girls are not able to give this exam only boys are eligible.

The Age Limit criteria for NDA & NA Examination are as follows:
The candidate should be of the age in between 16.5 to 19 years.
Sorry friend but you are not eligible for NDA & NA Exam 2013 since according to UPSC the candidates who are born after 2nd January 1995 and not later than 1st july 1997 are only eligible.
If you are so eager to join Defence then don't be upset you can apply for CDS Exam after graduation.

CDS Exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year for the recruitment of candidates in the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Naval Academy (NA), Air Force Academy (AFA), Officers Training Academy (OTA).

The eligibility criteria for CDS Exam are as follows:
Nationality:
The candidate must be Indian.

Age Limit: Male candidates (Unmarried) of age between
(i) For IMA: 19-24 years.

dear sir , you are take this exam . the age criteria for NDA exam is 16.5 - 19 year. so you are eligible for the NDA exam 2013. But if you are a maths / science students then you give this exam .
If your selection is not then you are try another UPSC exam after the complete your greduation with any stream.

The age criteria for the anther UPSC exam is
For gen. - 21 to 30 year
For obc - 21 to 33 year
For sc/st - 21 to 35 year

So you are take anther chance for the UPSC exam.

Let me make your doubt clear,you read the following lines to clear your doubt.

~Age limit-16.5 to 19 years.(at the time of commencement of the course)

You know that well.Now the fact is that it nearly takes 1 year time(approx) to start the NDA course from the date of applying for the exam.
That means that as the for the NDA in 2013 your age should be between 15.5 to 18 years,so that when you apply for the exam and when the course starts you remain in the age limit of 16.5 to 19 years.

As above it is mentioned that your age should be between 16.5 to 19 years(at the time of the commencement of the course).Hence you are 19 years of age in 2013 but when the course will begin will cross the age limit.

That id why your year of birth 1994 is not mentioned in the notification.There are three stages including the entrance before you get selected for the NDA.

The NDA-1 and the NDA-2 exam is conducted by UPSC in April And August respectively.

through this exam you can join army and navy and air-force.

The eligibility criterion for this exam is-

1.You should be an Indian citizen

2.You should be an unmarried male candidate.

3.you should be between 16.5 and 19 years of age.

4.You should have successfully passed 12th from a recognized board.


So the age limit for NDA-1 exam is - 16.5 to 19 years.

Students who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males. They must be atleast 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam.

It would have been better had you mentioned the exact D.O.B.
But the maximum age for NDA 1 exam is 19 years.

The Maximum Age limit for the NDA exam is 19 years .This Year 2013 NDA exam is going to be conducted on the April 14, Sunday. Apart from the age limit you have to take care of the other conditions also.

Education Qualification

The candidates must complete the Intermediate from the recognized college

Hi the maximum age limit to give the NDA exam is 19 years. Beyond 19 years you are not allowed to give the NDA exam. Moreover if you want to join the indian air force, then it is compulsory for you to have physics and mathematics as your main subjects in class 12th.
