Hi
The minimum age for giving the IAS exam is the same for all the categories. The minimum age to give the IAS exam is 21 years. It is said by the upsc itself.
But there is a difference in the maximum or the upper age limit for giving the exam.
The maximum age to give the IAS exam for the general category candidate is 30 years, and that for the obc and the sc/st category is 33 and 35 years respectively.
Moreover, there is also the difference in the number of attempts also.
The number of attempts for the general category is 4. Whereas that of for the obc category is 7 and there is no restrictions in the number of attempts for the candidate belonging to the sc/st category.
Gud luck
Dear friend!
The Maximum age limits to apply for IAS examination or CSAT examination is 35 years only.
As you belongs to SC category you are having +5 years age relaxation with limit of attempts...
There will be no age relaxation applicable for Government servants.
But only Ex-Service men's can avail age relaxations..
Good luck
