    What is meant by Prelims, Mains & Interview? What will be asked in Civil Services Exam?

    iam 3rd year b.tech(EEE). got inspired with the interviews of the rankers of civils exms.,, me too tuk da decission 2 prepare 4 civils. dont knw hw 2 prepare,, dont knw wat r prilims.?,,wats mains.?,,wats interview.?,, what wl b n civils exm.?? plz help me out ...

    hi,
    there are three stages in UPSC exam.

    *PRELIMINARY
    *MAINS
    *INTERVIEW

    TO JOIN UPSC EXAM;-
    *you must be graduate from a recognized university.
    *final year student are also eligible for this exam
    *age limit is 21-30 years.
    *you must be Indian citizen

    the prelims exam consists of paper 1 and paper 2 each of 200 marks.
    the total marks is 400 marks.
    in paper 2 candidate has to choose optional subjects from 23 listed subject.

    MAINS;-
    YOU CAN APPLY THIS EXAM IF YOU HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED PRELIMINARY EXAM.
    after that you are called for interview.

    Hi Aspirant,

    Nice to see that after completion of B. Tech degree you want to join the government sector through Civil service exam and want to serve the country with dignity.

    Civil service exam is conducted by UPSC every year for the post of IAS, IPS or IRS.

    These are the most reputed job of India.

    Now you can not apply for civil service exam but in final year of B. Tech you can apply for civil service exam.


    Qualification condition for civil service exam
    Candidates must have graduation degree in any stream from recognized university or its equivalent.
    Final year candidates of graduation can also apply for civil service exam.
    You should be in age of 21 to 30 years.
    Age relaxation
    SC/ST + 5 years
    OBC + 3 years

    PH + 10 years
    You must be Indian.

    Exam pattern for civil service exam
    Preliminary exam (400 marks)
    Mains exam (2300 marks)



    Preliminary exam is 1st stage of civil service and mains are 2nd stages and interview is 3rd stage of civil exam.

    Here you can fill the application form through Online application form.

    Form fee is Rs. 100.
