Physical Standards
Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Indian Forest Service Examination, 2011 as per regulations given in Appendix-III of the Rules for the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2011 published in the Gazette of India dated 19th March, 2011.

Exam Pattern Of Indian Forest Service Exam (IFS)
The pattern or the scheme of the written exam for Indian Forest Services Exam (IFS) conducted by UPSC is as explained underneath: Written Examination of Indian Forest Service Exam (IFS) is of a conventional essay / descriptive type generally has six papers to be appeared as given under.
Paper I - General English (300 Marks)
Paper II - General Knowledge (300 Marks)
Paper III, IV, V & VI - Any two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subjects set out below. Each subject will have two papers. (200 Marks for each paper)
Total marks for written examination (1400 Marks)

Indian Forest Service Examination was conducted by U.P.S.C every year,
To appear in This examination:-
--You must have a Bachelor�s degree of a recognised University with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor�s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
--Your age should between 21 to 30 years.
--To appear in Indian Forest Service Examination You need to be medically fit In all the respects.
--For general candidates minimum height should be 165 cm for male and 150 cm for female candidates
--For male Chest fully expanded is 84 cm and for female 79 cm.
The examination fees for Indian forest service examination was Rs 200.
General candidates will gets only 4 chances to attempt for this examination, 7 attempts for OBC and No limits for SC/ST candidates.
Candidatesmust be physically fit according to physical standards for admissionto IndianForest Service Examination, 2012as per regulations given in Appendix-IIIof the rules for the IndianForest Service Examination.
IFS stands for indian forest service, This examination is conducted by union public service commission for every year.

See there are no such physical standards for IFS exam.
You just need to fulfill the eligibility criteria in order to sit for the exam.
It is the IPS exam that has various physical standards that a candidate must meet in order to sit for the exam.
But as far as IFS is concerned,there are no such physical standards!

Eligibility Criteria to apply for IFoS - Indian Forest Service Exam 2013
Candidate should have passed a bachelor's degree in any one of these following streams from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this exam :
1. Agriculture

7. Physics
8. Statistics
9. Zoology

Age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates
Dear there is no physical standards required in the selection of IFoS exam but this criteria is required in IPS - Indian Police Services Exams and you should be physically and medically fit for this post
Examination Pattern for IFoS exam : Exam would be conducted in conventional type pattern as
