For Joining Crime Investigation Department must appear in the Indian Civil Services

regarding the exam and its syllabus will be available in all leading publications

Minimum qualification required for a candidate to join as a constable in the CID is

Graduation is the requirement for officer level post as well.

or science. For those candidates who have a background in law, special courses

    ~ And for the sc,st candidates 18-32

~ Also for the ph candidates 18-37

    Hello there..

    >> I would like to inform you that the UPSC does not carries out any exam for recruitment in the CID.
    >> It is the Staff Selection Commission which conducts exam for the same.

    >> If you are keen to achieve what you so desire,i.e. joining the CID,then you will have to clear the Common Graduate Level examination to be carried forward by the SSC.
    >> Also, you will need to make sure that you achieve a rank good enough to let you opt for the post you so desire.

The Complete Eligibility Criteria for the SSC Common Graduate Level exams are mentioned below ::

    [a] NATIONALITY.
You must be a citizen of India.

    [B] AGE LIMITS.
You must be 18 To 27 years of age.
However, the upper age limit is redeemable by 3 years for OBC,5 Years for SC & ST and by 10 Years for the Physically Disabled.

    [c] ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION.
You must have completed your graduation from a recognized university, with any subject or stream.
Final year students are also applicable.

    [d] NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS.

No such restriction, until you meet the age criteria.

    >> You can apply for the exam online,on the website : www.ssconline.nic.in
    >> For further details, refer to the official SSC website : www.ssc.nic.in

    all the best.

Re: What is the procedure to join CID after graduation? How many marks should I score in UPSC exam?

    Dear Friend,

Nice to hear that you want to join the Central Investigation Department(CID).

But I just want to tell you that the Union Public Service Commission doesn`t conduct the examination for the recruitment of candidates in CID.

The Staff Selection Commission conducts an exam known as the "Common Graduate Level Exam" through which candidates are selected to join the same.

The Eligibility Criteria for this exam are mentioned below :

    * You must have completed your graduation from any recognized college/university.

    * Your age must lie in between 18-27 years.

    * There is also a relaxation in upper age of 3 years for students belonging to OBC Category and of 5 years for students belonging to SC/ST Category.

    * You must have Indian Nationality.

    * You must be physically and mentally fit.

Now as per your second ask , you must have to score more than 65% marks correctly to acquire the post for which you are giving the exam and the post that you want.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.
