    Hello,IFS stands for Indian Forest Service Examination is Conducted Union Public Service Commission . This Examination is held every Once in a yearELEGIBLETY CRITERIA FOR IFS :-You Need to Complete Graduation Course from recognized University.Aspirant should be studied any one of the Subjects like,( Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science /Botany /Chemistry /Geology /Mathematics /Physics /Statistics /Zoology Etc.. ) in your graduation Course .Aspirant age should be Not less than 21 years and Not more than 30 years and relaxation will applicable for sc/st candidatesand obc candidates .Aspirant should be Physically as well as Medically Fitgood luck.....

    Age limit:-

    Age should be for General :- 21-30 yrs.
    OBC :- 21-33 yrs.

    Well dear ifs(indian forest service )examination is conducted every year by upsc for the various posts in forest department.
    ELIGIBILITY:
    @you should done from a recognised university having any of these subjects.
    AnimalHusbandry
    Veterinary
    Science
    Botany
    Chemistry
    Geology
    Mathematics
    Physics
    Statistics
    Zoology .
    @age limit:
    general-21 to 30
    years.
    Obc-21 to 33 years.

    The basic eligibility criteria for IFS Exam are as follows:

    Educational Qualification
    The candidate must graduate from any recognized university with at least one of the fourteen subjects given below:
    Agriculture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary science,
    Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Botany, Zoology,
    Agricultural engineering, Chemical engineering, Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering.
    Final year degree students are also eligible

    Age limit
    General 21-30 yrs
    SC/ST 21-35 yrs
    OBC 21-33 yrs

    Number of attempts permitted
    General 4
    OBC 7
    PH 7
    SC/ST No Limit

    Nationality should be Indian.

    Let me first tell you something about IFS exam.
    IFS Exam stands for Indian Forest Service. The entrance exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment of Students for Indian Forest Service (IFS). It is a highly challenging and demanding profession.

    IFS Exam 2013 Eligiblity:-


    --> A Bachelor�s degree with at least one of the subjects namely, Animal
    Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology,
    Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor�s degree
    in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognised university or
    equivalent.

    for indian forest service exam(IFS) is conducted by union public service commission

    aspirants has to be fit the eligibility criteria listed below=

    1)age=21-30 years
    2)qualification=graduation in science with at least one of the following subject maths,physics,chemistry,botany,zoology,geology,sta tistic,veterinary science,animal husbandry or bachelor degree in engineering /forestry /agriculture

    3)aspirants must be physically fit and mentally strong

    4)must be indian

    To join Civil services :

    you should have a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks .

    Age should be between 21-30 years and relaxation in age as per government guidelines and you should choose that for which civil service do you want to apply means IFS Indian Forest Service


    Preliminary Exam : this would be objective type exam in which you will have to attempt two papers in a day and each paper would contain 200 marks so that the grand total becomes 400 and qualifying is important to appear for next exam.

    Mains Examination : this would be descriptive type paper where you have to face 7 different papers and total marks would be 2000 for all 7 papers and you will have to be passed in this exam then you would be allowed to face interview process.

    Interview Process : If you qualify both papers then you would be allowed to face interview and if you qualify the interview process then you would finally selected for civil services and you would be sent for 2 years training under the government then you will get the appointment.

    Eligibility Criteria to apply for IFoS exam - Indian Forest Services :

    Candidate should have passed a bachelor's degree in any one of the following disciplines from a recognized university and final year pursuing candidates may also apply for IFoS exam

    1. Agriculture
    2. Agriculture Engineering
    3. Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
    4. Botany
    5. Chemistry
    6. Mathematics
    7. Physics
    8. Geology
    9. Zoology
    10. Statistics
    11. Civil Engineering
    12. Chemical Engineering
    13. Mechanical Engineering
    14. Horticulture
    15. Biotechnology/Microbiology/Seed Technology

    Your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age would be provided only to reserved category candidates as per government guidelines which is - 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates

    Examination Pattern for IFoS exam 2013 : There would be 6 papers conducted in this exam and each and every single paper would be conducted in conventional type format means there is no paper would contains objective type multiple choice question papers

    1. Paper I - English Language - 300 Marks
    2. Paper II - General Knowledge and Awareness - 300 Marks
    3. Paper III, IV, V and VI would be conducted on the basis of any two subjects selected from the list and each subject has 2 papers and each paper has 200 marks separate so that the total number of marks would be - 1400 means the maximum marks would be for these papers are 1400.

    for appearing in exam you have to fulfill some other requirement like:


    >>The candidate must hold a Bachelor�s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor�s degree in
    Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from recognized college or university.


    >>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
    and you must have attained the minimum age on same date and you have not attained the upper age on similar date.

    The qualification for applying in the IFS exams is follows

    Bachelors degree(graduation) with any one of the subjects

    ~Animal husbandry.
    ~Veterinary Science.
    ~Botany.
    ~Chemistry.
    ~Geology.
    ~Mathematics.
    ~Physics.
    ~Statics.
    ~Zoology.

    Or else Bachelor degree in Agriculture or forestry or engineering.
    means either a bachelor degree in agriculture,forestry or a engineering degree.

    And above mentioned is bachelor degree in any stream but must have at least one subjects among the above mentioned ones.

    IFS Stands for Indian Forest Service Examination and this examination is conducted by UPSC Once in a year in the month of April or May in the official website of UPSC as well as employment news paper . The applicants can fill the application forms using the following official website :: http://www.upsconline,nic.in

    The candidate must have a degree from a recognized Institute or equivalent qualification and the graduate degree in any following subjects and they are Animal Husbanary & Veterinary Science , Botany , Zoology , Chemistry , Mathematics , Geology , Physics , Statistics OR Engineering degree from a recognized University .

    The candidate must have attained the age the minimum age of 21 years and must not have attained the maximum age of 30 years as on 1st August of the year of examination and Upper age limits is applicable for reserved categories . Three years for Other Backward Caste , Five year for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes .

    The candidate who are appearing in the final year of degree course or awaiting the exam results may also eligible to apply OR those who have passed graduate degree may also eligible to apply for Indian Forest Service Examination .

    Four attempts is given to the General candidates , Seven attempts is given to the Other Backward caste and No limits for reserved categories .
