INDIAN FOREST SERVICE (IFS) IS THE EXAM CONDUCT BY UPSC ,HELD ONCE IN A YEAR.ITS A 10 DAY PROGRAMME.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IFS=
1)AGE=21-30 YEARS
*SC/ST=RELAXATION UPTO 5 YEARS.
*BC=UPTO 3 YEARS
*BLIND DEAF-MUTE/PHC=UPTO 10 YEARS.
2)EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION=ANY BACHELOR DEGREE HAVING AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS=

this exam is conducted by UPSC(union public service commission) once in a year.
QUALIFICATION FOR IFS:-
you should have to complete your graduation in any stream from the recognized university.
AGE CRITERIA:-
age should be for general candidates 21 to 30 years.
age should be for obc candidates 21 to 33 years.
age should be for sc/st candidates 21 to 35 years.
you must be an INDIAN.
NO OF ATTEMPTS:-
general = 4
obc = 7
sc/st = no limits

Indian Forest Services Exam is conducted annually by UPSC.

Minimum academic qualification required: A Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.
Age limit: 21-30 years (relaxation in upper age limit for candidates belonging to different categories)
OBC 21-33 years
SC/ST 21-35 years
PH 21-40 years.
Also note that there is no boundation on number of attempts for IFS Exam.
Now coming to your query as the official notification only asks a degree in engineering (not mentioning any particular stream or branch) so you are eligible for the Exam.

Forest or Engineering of a recognized university.
Age should be 21-30 years
