Re: What reservation policy is followed by UPSC?

    dear friend,

there is no reservation in UPSC exams for any reserved category.

selection is made on the basis of merit only.

but in UPSC there is relaxation in upper age for reserved category group.
like 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.

    Good Luck......

Re: What reservation policy is followed by UPSC?

UPSC follows the reservation policy as per the government rules .
There are flexibility in the eligibility criteria for the reserved cast like
The age limit for general is 21-30 but
    For OBC 21-33
    For Sc/St 21-35

One thing also in the no of attempts one can do .
For general cast , maximum 4 attempts are allowed
For OBC cast maximum 7 attempts are allowed
For SC/ST cast there are no limit for the no of attempts .

So this type of flexibility is provided to the reserved cast as per the government policy .

But the other thing like exam paper , marks are common to every cast , in that there are no such flexibility for the reserved cast .

    Hi Aspirant,

UPSC follow the reservation policy according to the government norms.

UPSC provide the age relaxation in its each exam.

Age relaxation to SC category + 5 years

Age relaxation to ST category + 5 years

Age relaxation to OBC category + 3 years

Age relaxation to PH + 10 years

UPSC also provide some other aids to eligible category.

Reserve category also gets the reservation in marks and merit list.

UPSC give the benefit of reservation to eligible category in merit list.

UPSC conducts various competitive exams for the central government posts.

But UPSC dont provide the reservation in defense jobs exam which are as follows

    NDA

    CDS

Re: What reservation policy is followed by UPSC?

UPSC follows the actual booking policy as per government entities rules.
You will find overall flexibility in the eligibility considerations for the set aside solid just like
The age reduce regarding common is 21-30 but
    With regard to OBC 21-33
    With regard to Sc/St 21-35

Another thing additionally with the absolutely no involving attempts one particular are able to do.
With regard to common solid , highest 4 attempts are permitted
With regard to OBC solid highest 7 attempts are permitted
With regard to SC/ST solid there isn't any reduce regarding the absolutely no involving attempts.

Hence such type of overall flexibility is provided for the set aside solid as per government entities policy.

Although another point just like audit newspaper , scars are generally present with just about every solid , with that you have absolutely no these overall flexibility for the set aside solid.
