No there is not any role of gate score in ies examination.
IES exam is conducted by upsc.

There is no role of GATE score in IES exam. Only IES exam score is counted, so you have to make a score in IES exam.

GATE score will not have any role in IES exam.
with GATE score you can join M.E/M.Tech or can apply for BHEL, POWERGRID, BARC,etc.
IES is conducted by UPSC so with GATE you cant join IES.

civil engineering
electrical engineering
mechanical engineering
electronics & telecommunication engineering

AGE LIMIT:
general - 21-30 yrs
obc - 21-33 yrs
sc/st - 21-35 yrs

No roll ,
IES is a UPSC part.
so if you score in GATE it doesn't effect on IES exam.
And other eligiblty for this exam are

OBC 21 to 33.
SC/ST 21 to 35.
