I am 5yrs experienced in IT industry,MCA holder.I need to know the scope of MCA candidates in UPSC.I mean the departments we can fit in via UPSC.

* A MCA student can apply for civil service examination.

* Also UPSc conducts various exams for recruitment of medical officers.

* You can apply for these exams.

* But sorry friend! your experience willn't be counted until you pass the mains examination.

* In interview your experience will be a plus point for you.

You can always give the civil services examination,but as there is no subject related to computers in this exam you will have to take other subjects of your choice and prepare it from beginning.But as you have a higher degree,this will always help you in facing the interviews with an extra confidence.
But ,ofcourse this will not give you any real advantage.

u can apply for CIVIL SERVICE EXAM.
but there is no computer subject so u have to choose subjects in which u r interested.

This conducts various exams & recruits candidates to govt. sector.

SCOPE OF MCA STUDENT IN U.P.S.C.

You can apply for these exams under U.P.S.C.

1)Civil Service Exam
2)Indian police service exam(I.P.S.)
3)Combined Defense Service Exam(C.D.S.)
4)Indian Forest Service(I.F.S.)

Civil Service examination/I.P.S./I.F.S:-

- YOU MUST BE INDIAN CITIZEN.
- YOU MUST BE A GRADUATE FROM RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY.
- A CANDIDATE WHO HAS COMPLETED HIS/HER GRADUATION FROM TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL COURSE CAN ALSO APPLY FOR THE EXAM.
- A FINAL YEAR CANDIDATE IS ALSO ELIGIBLE TO APPLY.
- ONLY PASSING MARK IS REQUIRED TO APPLY IN THE EXAM.

You can go for the upsc exam on the basis of your mca degree

As all scopes are available for you for in upsc

My friend you can go for the civil services exam for the posts like

Ias and IPS And IFS

As for the exam need a graduation degree from a recognized university

Also the candidate should be citizen of india

Also their is age limits for different category like

for general 21-30 and for sc.st21-35

And for the obc 21-33

MCA candidates can apply for lots of posts in UPSC exams.
you can apply for IAS,IPS, IFS,CDS etc.

Eligibility Criteria For UPSc :

you must complete or appearing in final year of graduation from recognized college or university.

your age must be within 21 years to 30 years.

And there is relaxation in UPPER AGE limit for reserved category candidates(3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates).

You can apply for the Civil Service Exam(CSE).

But you'll need to select other subjects as there are no subjects related to computers or IT in the whole UPSC.

you need to go through Civil Service Exam(CSE), the most popular misnomer 'IAS exam' or 'UPSC exam'.

There are two phases in CSE.

They are

1)Civil Service Aptitude Test(CSAT) or Preliminary Exam

2) Civil Service Main Exam

Note: You must know that those who've qualified CSAT are only eligible for the Civil Service Main Exam.

Qualification for open category:

Educational: Graduation

Age: 21-30yrs

Note: there is a considerable age relaxation for special category like Blind, Deaf-Mute, etc.

Number of attempts: 4
