Hi Friend!!
I really do appreciate your dream of serving the nation!
First, you need to know what is UPSC.
UPSC is Union Public Service Commission which conducts many exams in which Civil Service Exam(CSE).
CSE has a misnomer as 'IAS exam' or 'UPSC exam'.
you need to go through Civil Service Exam(CSE), the most popular misnomer 'IAS exam' or 'UPSC exam'.
There are two phases in CSE.
They are
1)Civil Service Aptitude Test(CSAT) or Preliminary Exam
2) Civil Service Main Exam
Note: You must know that those who've qualified CSAT are only eligible for the Civil Service Main Exam.
Qualification for open category:
Educational: Graduation
Age: 21-30yrs
Note: there is a considerable age relaxation for special category like Blind, Deaf-Mute, etc.
Number of attempts: 4
So you're eligible for the year 2014 but not 2015 because in the year 2015, they consider the age on 01-07-2015, so you'll be 31 years then.
