Dear Aspirant
You should know it very well that if you would like to appear in the examination you need to be graduate from a recognised university in any stream. This is the minimum eligibility criteria fixed by the commission. So being in 2nd semester simply means that you are in first year so how can you give the examination. In order to appear you still need to wait for two years.Being a graduate from a recognised university is only the minimum educational criteria fixed by the commission.Besides that there is age limit criteria.
The minimum age limit fixed by the commission is 21 years and maximum age limit is fixed to 30 years. However upper age limit has been relaxed depending upon the category belongs. As Open category or you say general has no age relaxation. It has been relaxed by 3 years for OBCs and 5 years for SC/ST.You have to appear seriously for the examination as there is limit in number of attempts you can appear for the examination. As a general category can only take 4 attempts where as 7 attempts for OBCs and no limit for SC/ST.
So you have enough time infact two years in advance. So do some general studies and updates your current affairs at this stage.Further you may think for other things. At this stage if you want to take commerce as one of your optional or any paper which you have in BBA that is in the list of optional provided by the commission the you may choose it as a optional and start working on it .Updating your general knowledge and selection of optional will be sufficient for you at this stage
