There is no separate exam for IFS.Foreign services is one of the service included in Civil services.The notifications and form filling dates are over for this year.The prelims exam is scheduled to take place on 26th May.You need to wait for next year for Civil services application.You will get IFS as per your final rank after interview and also medical tests.There is no separate way to get into IFS exclusively

As far as I am concerned ,i think you are asking about the important dates of the Forest Services examinations.

IFS that is Indian Forest Services examination is conducted every year by the Union Public service commission.

Before applying online you should ensure that you satisfy the eligibility criteria for the exam which is as below:

>>Bachelor's degree in any stream with at least one of the subjects like animal husbandry,zoology,botany,physics,chemistry ,mathematics ,veterinary science etc.

>>Your age should be between 21-30 years .

>>You must be an Indian citizen.

The important dates for the IFS 2013 exams are as below:

Date of notification:05/03/2013

Last date of receiving application:04/04/2013

Date of preliminary exam :26/05/2013

Date of main exam:03/10/2013.

Note: For this year the civil services preliminary exam and forest services preliminary exam will be same .

For any more details ,you may go on to the official website that is www.upsconline.nic.in for online application but this year dates are already over ,so you need to wait for the next year exam.

This year Notification is already published which is over.

Important Dates of IFS exam;-

Last dates for Filling Application is 4th April 2013 which is over.

Preliminary exam date;-26 may 2013

Mains exam is conducted in Sep/Oct month of this year


Vacancy: The number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is expected to be approximately 85

Reservation: Reservation will be made for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH categories in respect of vacancies as may be fixed by the Government.
