    Does category certificate that is to be produced at the time of any UPSC interview need to be issued before the date of notification of exam or a certificate issued later on can also be used? I am an OBC candidate in OBC list of Uttarakhand

    I am an obc candidate in central obc list of uttarakhand. Does category certificate that is to be produced at the time of any upsc interview need to be issued before the date of notification of exam or a certificate issued later on can also be used.?

    Hello,

    The certificate issued after date of notification will certainly work. When UPSC calls you for interview, it specifically mention in you call letter the latest date after which the certificate should be issued. And that date is in most circumstances, after the date of notification. If you submit any old certificate, UPSC asks to sign an affidavit in UPSC hall itself that you will furnish the latest caste certificate failing which your candidature will be forfeited.
